How to Make Flaweless Prosciutto & Melon Skewers

Flaweless Prosciutto & Melon Skewers


  • 2 sweet, in season, orange fleshed melon, made into 48 melon balls

  • 24 leaves of fresh basil

  • 24 balls of baby buratta

  • 24 pieces of freshly sliced, prosciutto di parma


  1. Slice melons in half, remove seeds and using a melon baller, create 48 melon balls. Set aside.

  2. Pluck 24 large leaves of fresh basil and loosely fold into thirds. You can keep these in place on a cutting board under the handle of a wooden spoon.

  3. Loosely fold 24 slices of prosciutto di parma into approximate 1.5” squares

  4. Create your stack of melon/basil/buratta/prosciutto/melon on a 4” bamboo paddle-pick skewers. Set out in neat rows on a platter and serve immediately.
