I invented these chocolate chip cookies as a child. They are the culmination of maybe 30 attempts and they are Flaweless!

My dog Chèvre was a bit of a picky eater until I discovered Stella & Chewy’s dinner patties dog food. They are freeze-dried animal organs formed into 1/2” thick disks. Each meal, I crumble half a disk and add it to her kibble; she loves it!

So when I set out to make a doggie biscuit she might like, it seemed intuitive to throw a few patties in the mix. I hope your fury friend likes them as much as Chèvre! 🐶🐕🐩🐕‍🦺

My Dad is Scottish so hopefully that means I’m really good at making shortbread. He’s also a geneticist so he’d definitely say that his nationality has nothing to do with my talents in the kitchen! 😂 🧬

“A hungersome wame haes nae lugs.”

Chocolate sugar cookies are great any time of year but for my holiday cookie box I’m star shaping them and dipping them in white chocolate! I could stop there for an amazing “Oreo effect” but I thought adding some crushed candy canes could make them holiday flaweless! -It worked!

These gems are incredibly special to me. The recipe comes from my best friend Di Ana Pisarri’s Mom, Lulu. She made what she called “Swedish Kisses” every year for Christmas. When Lulu passed away a few years ago it became Di Ana’s tradition to head to my house to make them with me for her brother Ozzie. Di Ana passed away on June 18th, 2021 so this year I’m solo in my Christmas cookie making. It’s not nearly as fun but I know she’d want me to make a batch for Ozzie nonetheless. Baking should come from the heart and these certainly will. 💖
