Potato Gratin - How to video and recipe!

Did you know the difference between Potato Gratin and Scalloped Potatoes is CHEESE 🧀 ???!!! And because cheese is something I can't live without, I'm making Potato Gratin.

P.S. This pairs Flawelessly with Easter Ham!

🐰Potato Gratin

INGREDIENTS

2 Tablespoons butter, softened

3 to 4 pounds potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch slices

1 1/2 cups heavy cream

1/4 cup olive oil

1 1/2 cups gruyere cheese, shredded

1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

3 cloves garlic, minced

thyme, rosemary, salt, pepper

1/4 cup Parmigiano-Reggiano, freshly grated

METHOD

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  2. Butter a 9x13 inch baking dish with the softened butter.

  3. Layer ingredients x4, in this order: potatoes/cream/oil/garlic/gruyere/cheddar/herbs/salt + pepper. On the last, top layer only, finish with Parmigiano-Reggiano.

  4. Bake until the potatoes are tender, about 1 hour 15 minutes.
