Mama’s Lemon Curd Recipe 🍋
Every Christmas, my Mama makes lemon curd. It’s as essential to our holiday as the stockings we hang by the chimney with care.
I’m certainly biased, but I really think there may be no better flavor in the world. This decadent spread is tart, sweet, creamy, comforting and oh so Flaweless!
Grandma’s Lemon Curd
INGREDIENTS
1 lb butter
2 cups sugar
12 eggs
8 lemons - zest + juice
METHOD
Melt butter in a large sauce pan over medium heat.
Add sugar and whisk to dissolve.
In a separate bowl, whisk eggs.
Whisking constantly, add eggs to butter mixture.
Continue whisking until mixture begins to thicken; about 6 - 8 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in lemon zest and juice until well combined.
Cool completely and pour into jars.
