Flaweless Dog Biscuits

My dog Chèvre was a bit of a picky eater until I discovered Stella & Chewy’s dinner patties dog food. They are freeze-dried animal organs formed into 1/2” thick disks. Each meal, I crumble half a disk and add it to her kibble; she loves it!

So when I set out to make a doggie biscuit she might like, it seemed intuitive to throw a few patties in the mix. I hope your fury friend likes them as much as Chèvre! 🐶🐕🐩🐕‍🦺

Chicken Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits

INGREDIENTS

1 ½ cups whole wheat flour

1 cup Stella & Chewy’s freeze-dried chicken dinner patties (~ 5 patties)

1 egg

1 cup water

1 cup peanut butter*

*NOTE: Use peanut butter that is made from only one ingredient: peanuts! I love Smucker’s Naturals.

METHOD

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F.

  2. Using a food processor, pulse flour with chicken patties until everything is chopped up and fine.

  3. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, combine flour/chicken mixture with the egg.

  4. Add water and peanut butter and mix until you have stiff dough.

  5. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough until 1/4” thick.

  6. Use a cookie cutter to make fun shapes!

  7. Place on a parchment lined cookie sheet and bake for 12-18 minutes, depending on size, until golden.

  8. Cool then store in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
